BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. -- Police in south Brevard County believe they've ended a crime spree. They arrested two men Tuesday accused of robbing eight businesses at gunpoint.
It was one man's glazed-over eye and the voice of another that ultimately led to their capture.
Police insist it was 32-year-old Stephen Messier's discolored left eye that linked him to eight armed robberies. Police said he and 28-year-old Josiah McKessey hit Subways, CVS stores and even a tanning salon within two weeks.
"What i can tell you is that money was the motive," explained Commander Ron Bell, Melbourne Police Department.
Investigators said, in their last attempt, when they robbed the Charter House Restaurant (see map), they didn't disguise themselves well enough.
