JUPITER - A Georgia woman who police said bludgeoned and stabbed her 80-year-old grandmother to death with a tire iron on Saturday, told police her name was Jesus when they went to arrest her, according to a police report.
Amy Kern, 30, is in the Palm Beach County Jail on charges of first-degree murder and burglary of an occupied dwelling. She was arrested on Saturday after confessing to shooting and killing her aunt's boyfriend, William Chapman, 59, and also shooting at strangers along Interstate 95 in Martin County, police said.
She also is charged with discharging a firearm.
Investigators said Kern, of St. Mary's, Ga., appeared delusional as she told police she fired randomly at cars in Martin County.
