ROCKLEDGE, Fla. -- The motive behind the slaying and beheading of a heroic former police officer may have been money.
The answers emerged following an autopsy that showed Paul Cadigan was shot at least six times.
Brevard County Sheriff's Office investigator Tod Goodyear said rage caused Dianne Parker to riddle Cadigan's body with bullets.
But convenience, Goodyear said, may have been why she cut of both of Cadigan's arms and legs from the 280-pound corpse.
Goodyear said she used the small paring and cooking knives from her kitchen to dismember the body. One of his legs was cut in two.
"Is it possible that she did the cutting so the body would be smaller and she could move it? That's a possibility," Goodyear said.
Cadigan apparently owed Parker some money for massage services....
