Excerpt: A pocket watch which stopped and froze at the exact time a newlywed Titanic passenger fell into the sea and drowned has gone on display for the first time.
The timepiece, belonging to passenger John Chapman, was kept by his family after the doomed ship hit an iceberg and sunk in 1912.
Mr Chapman, 37, was travelling on the infamous boat for a new life in America with new bride Lizzie Chapman, 29.
The couple, from St Neot, Cornwall, were travelling to Wisconsin after marrying a year before and were using the voyage as their honeymoon.
They embarked at Southampton with second class under ticket number 29034 which cost £26, purchased from White Star agent George & Co of Liskeard.
The Titanic had hit an iceberg before midnight and sank in the Atlantic at 2.20am on April 15, with the loss of 1,517 passengers....
