Randy Caroline Cartwright was fined yesterday—over sex sessions so noisy they woke her partially deaf neighbour.

Caroline, 47, was served with a noise abatement notice last year over her bedroom antics with factory worker hubby Steve, 46.

But the couple's raucous romps continued — with fed-up neighbours reporting "moaning, groaning, screaming and even SLAPPING".

One said the racket was like domestic violence.

Environmental Health officials built up a catalogue of 23 recordings, made through one neighbour's soundproofed walls.

Nuisance
And Sunderland JPs heard the tapes on headphones before declaring the romps a "statutory nuisance".

Rachel O'Connor, who taped the sessions in Washington, Tyne and Wear, said: "I heard sounds of a sexual nature—really loud. It came from both parties."

Partially-deaf Margery Ball told officials she had not had a full night's sleep in two years due to the Cartwrights—wed 25 years....

Environmental Health officials built up a catalogue of 23 recordings, made through one neighbour's soundproofed walls.

Partially-deaf Margery Ball told officials she had not had a full night’s sleep in two years due to the Cartwrights — wed 25 years.

Anne Dimmock, who also lives close to the pair’s terraced home, said: “It’s a very loud noise. I thought it was domestic violence, it was that unnatural.”

I would think enough calls to police about the "domestic abuse" would shame them into toning it down. I can't think of much else more embarrassing.

Lots of things in this article make me wonder about law enforcement, they are more interested in busting a happy couple for humping then in getting a terrorist or what not. The deaf girl should be happy, they cured her. Bravo for the happy humpers

Embarrassment to the nth degree! I can't imagine being that noisy that there would be complaints. If there was though, you can bet the neighbors didn't make the decision to talk about it lightly. If I heard screams and other "not normal" noises, I'd also call the police. The couple should get their own home and not have "wall neighbors" if they must be that noisy. They sound disgusting.

My sister and brother in law used to live in an apartment right next to a screamer. This girl would scream long and loud every night in a strange high pitched scream, at all times of the night...it could start at 2 or 3 in the morning; it didn't matter. Finally, my brother in law and sister started simulating her exact noises and screams when she started up; if they heard HER, she had to have heard THEM. I guess she got the point b/c she stopped pretty soon after. LMAO.

BiggertheBetter~ That was just hilarious. My mom stayed in an apartment in Jena, Germany while attending a semester of college there that dealt with her Masters. Her neighbors would fight all day long almost every day (5-6 times a week.) Every time they had a fight, we would hear the "make up." She sounded just like a chicken. We laughed so hard that we knew they could hear us.

People are sick! You have to respect others! If you're having fun, do so, but make sure that you don't disturb others. It's their constitutional right to leave happy too!!! Get cottage in the mountains and scream your lungs out, noone will care, except you and your partner!!! Do what you want, with respect to others!!! Respect, does anyone know what that is or have people become self indulgent???

After 25 years, if they can keep the sex THAT good, more power to 'em. Git 'er done, Steve! Maybe instead of making 23 recordings of them, just listening one night and knocking on the door with a warning would have been sufficient.

They really should consider their own piece of land though..maybe a BIG piece of land with not too many neighbors nearby. And lots of soundproofing. Then go at it!! :)

C'mon folks they were served a noise abatement notice the previous year and still hadn't taken the hint. If it were the kids playing, or their tv/stereo that was going this loud at night, none of you would have stood for it, especially if you've got to get your sleep for work the next day. It's just common courtesy not to intrude on your neighbors right for some peace and quiet at night.

You mean to tell me that a married couple can't have rough sex with one another in their own HOME??? so what if their loud....more power to them....it could be a WHOLE lot worse...I mean they could be into dealing drugs...with 100's of cars coming and going every single day....now as a mother...if i had to pick which one i would want living close to me it would be the couple having sex! why not join them? it's something that is natural we all do it.and we all get loud at times....i dont see why this couple should be charged with anything they are still two people very much in love and are not afraid to show it....for the goofball that has sound proof walls.........well maybe you should contact whoever put up these sound proof walls and just maybe you should sue them for not really making your walls sound proof!!!!!!!! i say let em SCREW!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a neighbor like that. People walking down the street can hear her. Once when her and her husband split she told me she was faking. Well now there back together and she doesn't fake it as much. But every now in then she puts on a academy award show for him. Actually sounds more like ooooou oooooooo oooooooooouch oooooooo any way i say if it works for her.
