Couple's noisy sex woke their deaf neighbour (With Photo of Couple)

advertisement

Randy Caroline Cartwright was fined yesterday—over sex sessions so noisy they woke her partially deaf neighbour.

Caroline, 47, was served with a noise abatement notice last year over her bedroom antics with factory worker hubby Steve, 46.

But the couple's raucous romps continued — with fed-up neighbours reporting "moaning, groaning, screaming and even SLAPPING".

One said the racket was like domestic violence.

Environmental Health officials built up a catalogue of 23 recordings, made through one neighbour's soundproofed walls.

Nuisance And Sunderland JPs heard the tapes on headphones before declaring the romps a "statutory nuisance".

Rachel O'Connor, who taped the sessions in Washington, Tyne and Wear, said: "I heard sounds of a sexual nature—really loud. It came from both parties."

Partially-deaf Margery Ball told officials she had not had a full night's sleep in two years due to the Cartwrights—wed 25 years....

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

I would think enough calls to police about the "domestic abuse" would shame them into toning it down. I can't think of much else more embarrassing.

Embarrassment to the nth degree! I can't imagine being that noisy that there would be complaints. If there was though, you can bet the neighbors didn't make the decision to talk about it lightly. If I heard screams and other "not normal" noises, I'd also call the police. The couple should get their own home and not have "wall neighbors" if they must be that noisy. They sound disgusting.

My sister and brother in law used to live in an apartment right next to a screamer. This girl would scream long and loud every night in a strange high pitched scream, at all times of the night...it could start at 2 or 3 in the morning; it didn't matter. Finally, my brother in law and sister started simulating her exact noises and screams when she started up; if they heard HER, she had to have heard THEM. I guess she got the point b/c she stopped pretty soon after. LMAO.

BiggertheBetter~ That was just hilarious. My mom stayed in an apartment in Jena, Germany while attending a semester of college there that dealt with her Masters. Her neighbors would fight all day long almost every day (5-6 times a week.) Every time they had a fight, we would hear the "make up." She sounded just like a chicken. We laughed so hard that we knew they could hear us.

After 25 years, if they can keep the sex THAT good, more power to 'em. Git 'er done, Steve! Maybe instead of making 23 recordings of them, just listening one night and knocking on the door with a warning would have been sufficient.

They really should consider their own piece of land though..maybe a BIG piece of land with not too many neighbors nearby. And lots of soundproofing. Then go at it!! :)

They should move to an isolated ranch and hold semimars.

Maybe they should move next to a cemetery to see if they can wake the dead next.

C'mon folks they were served a noise abatement notice the previous year and still hadn't taken the hint. If it were the kids playing, or their tv/stereo that was going this loud at night, none of you would have stood for it, especially if you've got to get your sleep for work the next day. It's just common courtesy not to intrude on your neighbors right for some peace and quiet at night.

Well now there back together and she doesn't fake it as much. But every now in then she puts on a academy award show for him. Actually sounds more like ooooou oooooooo oooooooooouch oooooooo any way i say if it works for her.
